Tropical, Marine, Pond & Koi Fish Under One Roof
One of the reasons customers travel to Birchwood is the variety you'll find when you arrive.
Our tropical section is home to a regularly changing selection of community fish, unusual species and favourites for planted aquariums. For marine keepers, we stock marine fish, corals and invertebrates, with livestock sourced from trusted suppliers and carefully monitored before sale.
During the pond season, you'll also find a wide choice of pond and koi fish, kept in our outdoor systems and acclimatised to UK conditions.
Whatever type of fishkeeping you're interested in, you can see our livestock in person and talk through compatibility, care and your existing setup with our team before deciding what's right for you.
More Than Just Fish
A successful aquarium or pond needs more than livestock, so you'll also find a comprehensive range of equipment, food, treatments and accessories in store.
We stock trusted aquarium, marine and pond brands covering everything from filtration, pumps and UVs to lighting, heating, water treatments and specialist foods. Whether you need a replacement part, you're upgrading your equipment or you're starting a completely new setup, we're happy to help you find the right solution.
Why Make the Trip to Birchwood?
We're a specialist aquatic shop rather than a general pet store, and aquatics is what we do every day. Customers visit us because they can take their time, see the fish they're considering, browse a wide range of equipment and, importantly, speak to people who understand the hobby.
Whether you've kept fish for twenty years or you're choosing your very first aquarium, you'll receive the same friendly, practical advice.
There's convenient on-site parking, so there's no need to carry tanks, bags of substrate or heavy equipment halfway across a town centre either!
